Set in a tight city lot property, the home is an attempt to provide contemporary expressions to traditional tropical architecture while still addressing the simplicity of modern style.
A flight of stairs from the northern side leads to the home on the ground floor and the stilt floor, the customary entrance to a home, accommodates the car parking and space for commercial use. By recessing the western side with toilets and staircase the home is insulated from the harsh sun, thus creating an elevation that suggests a play of masses. Natural light is integrated into the house through the well-designed openings in the forms of skylights.
